Meet the Owners

Jessica Johnsen and Kylie Shrader own multiple schools in the greater Minneapolis area including Yellow Brick Road Early Childhood Development Centers and Sonnet Montessori and Child Care Schools. They took over Seeds to Seedlings from the original owners in November of 2020. All of the ladies agreed that this was the best fit given the mission and vision of the school.

Seeds to Seedlings child care is not just any old daycare. It’s special. Seeds to Seedlings have teachers who originated at the school and Jessica and Kylie believe whole heartedly that Seeds is the most charming, “back to the basics of development” type of child care center in Maple Grove. They describe the school as wholesome and focused on the roots of development. Seeds doesn’t spout any fancy bells and whistles, just genuine love for children and their learning.

A letter from Jessica and Kylie:

Hello Families and Prospective Families,

We feel so lucky to be here! When we had the opportunity to buy Seeds from it’s original owners in 2020, we couldn’t pass up the chance to own such a precious gem in Maple Grove. The original owners took special care of this school and the teachers, they didn’t want to sell to a big corporation or out of the box chain that would rebrand. It was a natural fit for us to carry on their legacy. It’s been an honor to serve the Seeds families.

The first thing you’ll notice when you come to Seeds to Seedlings is our beautiful playgrounds, well kept facility, and tenured teachers. We love being onsite and the Seeds staff know exactly what they’re doing and are educated teachers who support each other as much as the development of your child(ren)! The staff are truly one of a kind and we guarantee there is no school around with as much longevity and dedication to childhood development and learning. Also, the staff just genuinely love children.

We can’t wait to meet you! Stop on by to hear giggling babies, toddler singing songs, preschoolers learning their phonics, our prek class working together, or our school agers making up dances or doing whatever cool new hip craze that we are too old to fully understand.

We hope so see you soon! We know you’ll understand right away why this was an opportunity we couldn’t up!
Jessica & Kylie
